Monitor sites over time with Site Summary

Site Summary allows you monitor one parameter across a selection of sites. With Site Summary, for a specified date range and program, you can:

  • Generate a Chart or Distribution Plot, both shown below. The Distribution Plot allows you to graphically compare summary statistics across different sites.

  • Calculate Statistics from the queried data

  • Generate a Table containing the queried data.

  1. Open Site Summary and select the Pool you are accessing. We'll be accessing the Splash Valley demo data set which you should have access to, so you can follow along if you wish.

  4. It is possible to generate either a time series Chartor a Distribution Plot which allows you to compare different sites with distribution statistics. First we'll show you how to create a Chart, and then how to create a Distribution Plot.

  5. First, select Chart. This is the default option so this is likely already selected. img

  6. Next, click Select Statistics and select the statistics you wish to be calculated

  7. Then click Get Data

This should generate two sheets, SBK_Chart and SBK_Summary. SBK_Chart will contain a timeseries chart of the samples you queried, and SBK_Summary will contain the calculated statistics and the sample data that is shown in the graph. In this graph not all the points are connected, to solve this issue follow the steps here.

  11. To make changes to the chart generated clickChart Presets, after changing the chart settings click the back arrow and then Get Data again to re-generate the chart.

  12. Once you've generated a chart you're happy with, change the name of the sheet its on to something other than SBK_Chart, this will stop it from being closed or altered by the Splashback Excel Add-in. This chart can be further edited using Excel's chart tools.
